Ok, so I am not an historian and I do not know a great deal about Loiola, but what
I can say is:
It is a big catholic church built around "the House of Loiola" which is nestled with
in the left side of the Sanctuary. On any given day you will see tourist (mainly french) and people sitting and walking by
(as it is on the way to Azkoitia). On Saturdays it is full of activity. There would be anything from 1-4 weddings. The
front steps and surounding area is usually full of children rollerblading, bike riding or just running and playing.
